This is exactly the pub you were looking for. Situated in a little street called the same as the pub near the Rynek, Staromiejska is an amazing place, and a favourite among Erasmus students.
The interior, with the wooden tables and benches painted red, the red brick walls and the amazing decorations (there is a motorbike hanging from the ceiling!) welcomes you as soon as you step inside. Its owner, Staszek, is an old guy who is serving all the drinks always with a huge smile, and even though he doesn’t speak English, he is always very happy to receive international students and treats them like a father would treat his children.
Half of a liter of polish beer costs only 4 zl (less than 1€, or 2
), probably the cheapest beer in Opole! There is a variety of beer, drafted or in bottles, including some brands from the Czech Republic.
