The University of Opole was established in 1994. It consists of 12 faculties and 19 institutes.
The university offers many majors where great academics share their specialized knowledge. Students can also practice their skills using specialized studios, laboratories, and media centers. Besides, the university offers access to an extensive library and scholarship programs. Students can also take part in exchanges (Erasmus +, Europa Master Program) and internships abroad.

The university organizes many cultural, sports and entertainment events during the academic year. The biggest of these is the annual spring festival, “Piastonalia.”
