Between October 15 and January 20, thanks to the Erasmus+ Programme, I did my English Language Teaching internship at a primary school affiliated with Opole University. Through this traineeship, I acquired several professional skills critical for my future career as an English language teacher. I became more experienced at creating detailed lesson plans tailored to the needs and abilities of diverse learners. My classroom management skills improved significantly, allowing me to maintain a positive and structured learning environment. I also developed the ability to evaluate and adapt teaching strategies based on student feedback and performance. Participating in peer feedback sessions helped me understand the importance of collaboration and continuous professional development. Furthermore, I gained practical experience in balancing creativity and structure in lesson delivery, ensuring that lessons were both engaging and educational. Besides professional skills, I have gained valuable language skills during my internship. The traineeship provided a platform to further enhance my language skills, particularly in academic and instructional English. I improved my ability to explain complex language concepts in a simplified and comprehensible manner, making lessons more accessible to students of varying proficiency levels. I also expanded my vocabulary related to teaching methodologies and classroom communication. Engaging with students and colleagues in English strengthened my fluency and confidence in using the language in a professional setting. Additionally, writing lesson plans and preparing teaching materials in English contributed to my ability to use the language effectively in a teaching context.

Besides those teaching skills, I gained valuable social skills during my internship. I learned how to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment by fostering mutual respect and understanding. My interactions with students helped me develop empathy and the ability to address their individual needs and concerns. Moreover, Opole University offered numerous cultural meetings and road trips, where I had the chance to meet people from various cultural backgrounds. These events not only expanded my global perspective but also strengthened my interpersonal skills. I learned how to communicate effectively across cultures, build lasting friendships, and appreciate the beauty of diversity.

During my internship, I stayed in the university-provided dormitory, which I found to be an excellent choice for international students. The dormitory offered a welcoming environment that made adapting to life in Opole seamless and enjoyable. Living there allowed me to connect with other students, share experiences, and quickly feel at home in a new city.

Overall, I am highly satisfied with my internship experience. Opole University provided me with outstanding professional development opportunities while fostering a warm and inclusive community. The city of Opole, with its charming atmosphere and vibrant student life, is an ideal place for international students. I wholeheartedly recommend Opole University and the city to anyone seeking a rewarding and transformative educational experience.

Lastly, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my supervisor, Barbara Jaroszewicz. She was incredibly kind and supportive throughout my traineeship, always encouraging me to push my limits and grow as a teacher. Her constructive feedback and guidance provided me with invaluable teaching experiences that I will carry forward in my career. I truly appreciate the time and effort she invested in my development.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to my Erasmus Coordinator at Opole University, Mohammad Murtaza Kohistani. He was always prompt in responding to my emails and provided unwavering support with everything related to the university and the required paperwork. His assistance made the administrative process smooth and stress-free, allowing me to focus on my internship and enjoy my time in Opole.
