Dormitory buildings
About
University of Opole has 4 dormitory buildings, all located on the University Campus: Kmicic, Mrowisko, Niechcic, and Spójnik. Collectively they host 700 rooms available to students.
Every dormitory room has an Internet connection*.
*In the event of any problems with the Internet Connection, please conact the acting Local Aministrator, Cezary Pawęzki. All you need to do is send a text message to this number: 783 556 952. In the text message you need to enter the name of the dormitory building, room number, and at least 2 dates, when the occupants of the room will be available. The Administator operates between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Monday til Friday.
In every dormitory building’s hall, there is also a free Eduroam WiFi connection. Eduroam is available to all students, researchers, and teachers registered at their home institution. Eduroam is available in other univeristy buildings: librariers and faculty buildings.
Kmicic

Kmicic was build in the 70’s. In the 1974 it was ‘baptised’ by one of the best actors in Polish cinematography – Daniel Olbrychski.
There are 240 rooms and 20 guest places in the Kmicic. The dormitory offers module rooms (for two or three people) i.e. for every four rooms there’s one bathroom. Each floor has a shared, spacious kitchen and each floor includes a separate washing room equipped with 2 front-loaded washing machines and standing dryers.
Mrowisko
Address: 45-054 Opole, Katowicka 87
This building was built in 1956 which makes Mrowisko the oldest dormitory building in Opole.
The dormitory includes rooms for one, two, three or four people. Each floor has a shared, spacious kitchen. Each floor also includes a separate washing room equipped with a couple of front-loaded washing machines and standing dryers, which allows for comfortable user experience.
The ground flood includes a “Skrzat” Student Club hosting various parties, workshops and activities.
Ever floor also offers 4 shared bathrooms, each with one shower, accessible from the hall.
Niechcic
Address: 45-061 Opole, Katowicka 87b
Niechcic dormitory building was built in 2004, and hosts 453 lodging places along with 13 guest rooms.
On every floor there are 9 modules (double room, triple room, kitchen, and bathroom). The exception from this rule is the first floor, where everything has been adjusted to meet the needs of our students with disabilities.
Each of the 11 floors has a laundrette and a grabage chute. Due to its height, you can get a spectacular view of the city panorama from the last floor. On the 12th floor there is an astronomical observatory and a lecture room.
Don’t worry – there’s an elevator that will take you to these incredible places.
Spójnik

The Spójnik Dormitory building was built in the 60s. There are 208 double rooms and 10 single rooms.
Each floor includes 3 bathrooms accessible from the hall and a shared kitchen. The dormitory also includes a big washing room equipped with 6 front-loaded washing machines and several standing dryers.
The building is equipped with a laundrette and a boxing room. Residents may also use a special “silent” room intended for studying.
