On the 15th of May, Poland loosened its pandemic restrictions. Therefore, our Buddy mentors and students from the Master of Liberal Arts program organized the city game for Erasmus+ students. The idea of the event was to introduce our Erasmus students to the Opole city and its history in a fun and cooperative way. Ten locations with interesting histories behind were chosen for the city game. Near each of the locations, a Buddy Mentor was waiting for students with a short story about the place, a task to complete, and an envelope with a clue on how to find the next location. For successfully solving some of the tasks, students got prizes – T-shirts with Hello and Erasmus logos. The game started at the Niechcic dormitory, where most of our Erasmus students stay during their studies at the University of Opole. Game’s clues were variable – some consisted of only numbers, some had maps or even short poems. After the city game, students with Buddy mentors went to a picnic at Bolko Island. Students had a chance to chat, play games, eat prepared snacks, and enjoy the weather. The whole event was supported and financed by the Erasmus+ office.
