We geared up and now the ninth floor turned into a fans’ zone. We watched sorry Ukraine having been stunned by heavy rain, ice storm and a bit of luck and persistence of the Northern Irish. The only thing that connects our Ukrainian students to their national team at the moment – are the originally Cyrillic names on their backs funnily printed in Latin alphabet, looking exactly like the names of our students in USOS study management system.

Than a super intense game of two teams clinching each other: Germany vs. Poland.

The line of the evening belongs to one of our Afghani students, himself a Muslim observing the Ramadan fast:

  • How are you, Fawad?
  • I’m hungry!

Priceless. If you are into European football, or just want to spend quality time with our multinational crew – follow the updates at our FB page and hit the 9th floor of Niechcic dorm.
