Aims of the project: developing and facilitating the process of integration between citizens of third countries and the host country; improvement of access to public goods and counseling services in Poland in regard to citizens of third countries; taking measures resulting in a rise of the number of immigrants active in the labour market by providing them with opportunities to participate in paid internships in companies in the Opolskie voivodeship.

Project scope – Comprehensive counseling assistance provided to citizens of third countries.

Project actions:

• Polish language courses on B1, B2 and C1 levels;
• legal counseling;
• psychological counseling;
• career counseling;
• internships;
• certified translations of documents.

Aims of the project: popularization of full-time study programs offered by Polish universities in regard to foreigners by developing means of management and facilitating the procedures of admission.

Project scope – Creation and development of a website enabling foreign candidates to video and live chat with the recruitment committee.

Razem dla Integracji [trans. United in Integration]

Lead time: December 1, 2018 – July 31, 2019

Funding source: Welcome to Poland program, Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange

Budget: 40 400,00 PLN

Aims of the project: support of institutional capacity of the University of Opole, holder of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and academic units, which provides education for foreign students and employees, by enhancing qualifications of personel working with foreigners.

Projects activities:

• increasing competences of personel connected to foreigners through specialist courses;
• developing information materials for foreigners;
• translating the information materials and study guides into different languages;
• print of the information materials and study guides;

Dialog Wschodni [trans. Eastern Dialogue]

Modern promotion of the University of Opole in Eastern Partnership and post-Soviet countries.

Aims of the project: promoting the University’s educational offer in Eastern Partnership and post-Soviet countries through social media, organization of events in the regions included in the project areas, development and dissemination of audiovisual materials.

Project activities:

• promotional campaign in social media;
• direct contacts in a form of  meetings of headmasters and managers of educational institutions located in the regions included in the project;
• development and dissemination of audiovisual materials – creation of 3 advertisements.

Budget: 100 000,00 PLN

Aims of the project: establishing long-term cooperation with foreign graduates of the University of Opole; developing an environment enabling the graduates to share their knowledge and experience with the current students of UO, in order to enhance their education and career path; dissemination of the foreign graduates’ stories and profiles for promotional purposes.

Project activities:

• developing databases of the foreign graduates of UO;
• organization of a reunion of successful foreign graduates of UO;
• organization of lectures and workshops for students, conducted by the foreign graduates, presenting their path to success and possible ways of developing skills required for particular jobs;
• organization of a formal meeting of foreign graduates with the university and city authorities;
• honouring the foreign graduates with commemorative prizes and awarding them with the title of the UO Ambassador;
• developing multimedia content consisting of the graduates’ stories and their careers (i.e. success story);
• promoting the aforementioned actions in social media;
• development and printing of multilingual promotional materials referencing the graduates’ experiences, careers and their success.
