Admission step-by-step:
If you have the right to study free of charge
Step 1. Register in the online recruitment system.
- To register in the IRK system follow the detailed instruction.
- Your personal details have to be entered according to your international passport.
- Your correspondence address must be correct (your acceptance letter will be sent there by post).
- Your photo must meet the provided requirements.
- The information about your education must be complete with scans of your certificates/diplomas attached. After you sign up for a programme you will be able to provide the rest of necessary files. All of the required documents have to be attached in the “Enclosure of scanned documents for foreigners” section as well.
- Read the description of the programme you want to sign up for and enter the corresponding grades from your high school certificate or university diploma (converted into the Polish system).
- Sign up for the programme.
- Pay the registration fee (85PLN/ 150 PLN for Faculty of Arts) to the bank account number generated by the system or via the Blue Media platform (instant transfer) available in the “Payments” tab in IRK.
- Attach the required documents in the “Enclosure of scanned documents for foreigners” section.
- Your application will be evaluated only after your registration fee payment is reflected in the IRK system.
Step 2. Documents verification and language interviews.
Once your registration fee has been credited to your individual account, we start to verify your educational documents. We take into consideration whether documents are authentic and give you the right to continue education at BA/MA level in your own country. We check if there are mandatory subjects and grades for qualification for a programme which you have chosen. Until you attach all of the required documents in the system or if there are any doubts regarding their quality / authenticity, your application will not be accepted. The reason will be given in the comment section. It is not a permanent status – you can make the necessary corrections. Your application will not be evaluated until you attach the missing documents. As soon as you attach the required documents, our Office will reevaluate your application.
Before you send an e-mail regarding evaluation of your Application, please read the comment in your IRK account – the explanation will be provided there.
Next, we verify whether a document which confirms your language skills is an internationally recognized certificate (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL) and if it confirms the required language level. In the case that your language certificate does not meet the above-mentioned criteria you will have to participate in the language interview organized by the University. It might be one of the reasons why your documents are rejected.
Step 3. Qualification.
Once the registration fee has been credited to your individual account, your educational documents have been verified as admissable and the language proficiency requirement has been met, you can be qualified for the programme – your status in the IRK system will change for “Qualified”. You will be notified about this by e-mail.
Step 4. Submission of the original documents.
As soon as your status in the IRK system changes to “qualified”, you should submit the original copies of all required documents to the International Students Office within the deadline set in the admission schedule. Only after your original documents are submitted to our Office, the Decision on admission can be issued.
In the case you are not able to submit the original documents in person, please send them by post in advance. The documents need to reach our Office by July 26 (or September 10 if you applied in the 2nd recruitment phase after July 30). The date of delivery of the documents to our Office will be taken into account, not the date of sending them.
Step 5. Admission
Once you submit the original documents to our Office, the Decision on admission and the supporting documents will be sent to your e-mail address and by post to the address for correspondence stated in the IRK system. You can also collect the documents in person, however only after they are sent to you by e-mail.
Step 6. Visa procedure
After receiving the acceptance letter, proceed with the visa procedure. Visit Polish Embassy or Consulate web-site, check the list of the required documents for a student visa and make an appointment.
Please keep us updated on your visa status.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot interfere with the procedures carried out by the embassies, per legal regulations. All documents required for the purpose of confirming your admission are issued for you when your decision on admission is prepared.
