Cambridge English Exam Preparation Centre at the University of Opole offers a 4-month B2 Intensive English Preparatory Course, which equips participants with knowledge and skills vital for the Cambridge B2 First exam (FCE) and/or application interviews to undergraduate and graduate full-time programmes in English at the University of Opole, as well as selection for the Erasmus+ programme. You will be able to develop your academic English through written as well as oral assessments, presentations and activities during classes conducted by native speakers of English and Polish. At the end of the course, 15 June 2024, you will have a chance to take the B2 First Exam in our Cambridge English Exam Preparatory Centre UO. The cost of the exam is not included in the price of the course.

• Course: 4 March 2024 – 12 June 2024;

COURSE ESSENTIALS:

• 240 hours of studying – lessons 4 days a week: Monday – Thursday;
• Free weekends;
• Small groups – around 15 people;
• Access to the University library;

For those participants who require a visa in order to cross the border, the University issues a special visa invitation to be presented to the appropriate consul as well as confirmation of a place to stay for the duration of the course. The documents are prepared after the International Students Office receives a confirmation of payment for the course. For the invitation to be issued, we require the participants to fill in this chart. The filled out chart should be sent to hello@uni.opole.pl. The title of the message should read: B2 intensive English preparatory name, visa invitation, [name and surname of the participant].

The course fee does not include the cost of accommodation, however accommodation is available on the University campus (more details about the prices will be announced soon – in case of inquiries, please contact hello@uni.opole.pl). We offer accommodation in twin- and triple rooms, depending on the number of the course participants.

The payment for the course shall be made by 15.02.2024, by a transfer to the bank account of the University of Opole. The information required for transfers:

The payments for accommodation shall be made monthly, upon arrival to Opole, by cash or card.

By participating in the our pre-sessional English course, you can prepare for your selected study programme at the University, by practicing your speaking, listening, writing and reading skills in an academic context. You can boost your confidence and develop language learning strategies, as well as enhance interpersonal skills and socialise with interesting people from different parts of the world in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You can get familiar with Polish culture, traditions and language through extracurricular activities and workshops.
