FORTHEM collective short-term mobility: PhD course "The city and its citizens: exploring planning processes"
Would you like to take part in a week-long activity as part of a group of international students? This programme gives you the opportunity to meet physically on site in one of the nine FORTHEM universities with around 25 other students.
In this PhD course we will focus on how to explore urban space and what and who it is for. We invite participants to explore the qualities of Kristiansand and the people and activities it welcomes. We will also, in three different parts of the city, learn about how different actors intervene in the production of space, in what way they succeed or what prevents them from achieving their goals. The course has three elements, the first focuses on place-sensitive and immersive urban planning methods, the second addresses planning processes and the various actors involved and the third element is the participants’ own project work.
