
Persian Night at the Faculty of Psychology
On Thursday, May 30, 2019 the University of Opole hosted the Persian Cultural Night, organised by the students and professors from the Mazandaran University in Iran, visiting UO within the Key Action 107 of the Erasmus+ programme.
Professor Mahmoud Sharpour, urban sociologist, started the event with the lecture on Iranian Culture, while his colleague, urban planner, Professor Tavallaei Novin proceeded with the issues of Iranian Art.
The exchange students from Faculties of Sociology, English Philology and Economics prepared the traditional Iranian dishes.
Cooperation between the University of Opole and Iran started in 2015 when the Vice-Rector for Research and Finance, professor Janusz Słodczyk, signed the bilateral agreement.
Since 2017, the University of Opole and the Mazandaran University from Babolsar in the northern Iran have been successfully implementing the exchange of staff and students programme.
