The Second International English Summer School Launches this week

 

The young tradition continues, another year another English Summer School for international students seeks to equip some of the world’s most eager to learn students with the excellence of English for academic purposes.

The classes start on Monday, July 3, and continue for another four weeks with daily doze of morning teaching and variety of afternoon activities. On top of this, there are trips to Cracow and other interesting places.

Among the participants, there are Chinese students as well as Afghan, Kazakh, Russian, or Turkish ones. All classes are taught by professors of the University of Opole – from English department as well as sociology or chemistry.

The afternoon activities include cooking, dance, yoga, movies or professional career workshops.

The English Summer School is organized by the Office for International Study Programmes under the supervision of Dr. Stankomir Nicieja, coordinator for international relations with Asia.

After the adaptation week, tests and integration activities, on Monday, July 11 at 9 am in Collegium Maius University Senate hall, there will be held an official opening ceremony of the English Summer School, with a press conference at 10 am.
