Sociologists from the Intercultural Communication Programme received a grant from the International Visegrad Fund for the implementation of the Borders & Dialogue:
Past and Present of the Czech-Polish Borderland project.
The leader of the project is the University of Hradec Králové. Under the project, students and lecturers of Trans-cultural from the UHK and Intercultural Communication from the UO will take part in a series of joint workshops and lectures as well as analytical and dissemination activities.

The topic of the project is the cultural identity of the Broumov region, for which the Opole region will be an analytical counterpoint. Students will practice art-based methods to design and carry out social and artistic interventions in the Broumov Monastery and the Moszna Palace. They will work under the supervision of lecturers from both programmes.

The outcome of the project will be an exhibition “Borders and Dialogue”.

The project is coordinated by Dr Luděk Jirka from the Chair of Cultural and Religious Studies at the University of Hradec Králové, and Dr Michal Wanke from the interdisciplinary research team “Interdisciplinary laboratory of social spaces and artistic projects” at the UO.

It will run from September 2020 to July 2021 and has a budget of 20 800 EUR.
