INTRODUCTION TO GENDER AND LITERATURE

The course is designed to examine different ways in which gender issues affect the writing and reading of literary texts. Selected literary works of various genres will be discussed with a particular focus on gender as a cultural category influenced by stereotypes or social expectations about femininity and masculinity.
