Spring Term

We are pleased to invite you for the Adaptation Time at Opole University. From 15th till 17th February we will be showing you the University, the town and its surroundings.

First of all, we would like you to enjoy yourselves, get interested and involved, and strike new friendships. At the same time, the Adaptation Time will be an integral part of your studies, necessary for the proper start. This is why we expect you to participate in all the meetings and trips.

If you participate in the celebrations of the Adaptation Time, you will have our permission to skip the lectures.

The programme is as follows:

15th February

  • Inauguration of the Erasmus+ Studies in the Blue Auditorium of the Collegium Maius (Address: Kopernika Square 11A, Room No. 301) at 00 pm.

 

Please find below the photo of the building. It is located next to Collegium Minus (the one in which Erasmus+ office is situated). The Buddies will help you to get there. The meeting at the entrance hall of Niechcic at 11.45 am.

 

You are welcome & expected to be there. We will discuss the matters connected with your studies, make a presentation of our University and answer your questions.

  • Bowling eveningin the Fitlife Bowling Club of “Szara Willa”, one of the
    three-star hotels in Opole from 6.00 pm till 8.00 pm.

Fitlife Bowling alley is one of the most modernistic bowling alleys in Poland. Fully automatic, equipped in Brunswick devices, which is a synonym of the best quality in bowling industry. I am sure you will enjoy it!

There are 7 alleys reserved for you. Please take with you some indoor shoes. Otherwise, you would have to pay 1 zloty for renting the shoes. Please mind also that it is forbidden to bring any food and/or drinks into the club. There is a bar inside where you can buy something to eat or drink but at your own expense.

The meeting point would be at Niechcic dormitory at 5.45 pm. The students from the Buddy Programme will guide you. Ten minutes is enough to get there (the building is situated at 11 Oleska Street).

16th February

  • Tour around Opole centre from 1:00 pm till approx. 4:00 pm – starting point at Niechcic dormitory at 12:50 pm.

You are welcome & expected to be there. We will show you around the centre of our town, not only to make you familiar with its historical and cultural value, but also to help you get around easily. You will see the best of our town within 2 hours.

  • Meeting in a restaurant (trying traditional dumplings, that is “Pierogi”) at 4:15 pm

 

17th February

  • Visit at the Opole Silesian Museum – starting point at Collegium Maius at
    9:45 am

This museum is housed in a former Jesuit college (1698). The permanent display features the prehistory and history of the surrounding area and city, and there are always temporary exhibitions.

Please mind that longer coach tours to Bierkowice (open-air museum) & Moszna (charming castle there) as well as Krasiejów (Jurapark there) will be arranged when the temperature outside is higher.
